Legal Advisory
Short-Term Internship
Are you interested in an internship with us?
Who we are
AsyLex is a non-profit organization based in Switzerland. We provide digital legal advice to refugees and asylum seekers. Since 2017, we have handled more than 18’000 cases in over 20 different languages – thanks to the support of around 200 volunteers and a small office team.
What You will do
As an intern, you will work in one of the following areas, in addition to attending authority appointments, workshops (Academies), and taking on administrative tasks:
- Handling client and authority inquiries via email and Facebook
- Coordinating and supporting the drafting of legal submissions
- Participating in internal and external AsyLex events
Who we are looking for
You have studied or are currently studying law and are particularly interested in asylum law. Previous experience in human rights and/or volunteer work is an advantage. Fluency in German, French, and English is highly valued; any additional languages are a plus. You are reliable, committed, and possess strong organizational skills. If you are passionate about human rights, willing to support our work, and are available 80-100%, we look forward to receiving your application.
What we offer
You’ll work in an international team of talented volunteers. Your training is our priority – you’ll benefit from valuable professional development opportunities. Our office is centrally located in Zurich, working hours are flexible, and working from home is possible. You’ll have the chance to provide sustainable support to people in difficult life situations and learn from experienced experts.
Next Steps
If we have sparked your interest, please send your complete application (CV, cover letter, certificates, references) as soon as possible to Joanna Freiermuth at bewerbungen@asylex.ch. We look forward to receiving your application!
