Why volunteer with us?
Volunteers are the backbone of AsyLex. More than 200 people: lawyers, translators, students, and professionals from many fields contribute their skills so people seeking protection can access legal help.

What we are looking for
Lawyers
(including non-Swiss citizens and law students)
We welcome new legal advisors. The workload is flexible and chosen by you. We provide an introduction to asylum law, ongoing mentoring by our teams, and the chance to make a concrete difference for people in very difficult situations.
Non-Legal Support
If you have skills in IT, finance, social media, fundraising, or similar areas, we’d love to hear from you. Your expertise strengthens our systems, so our legal teams can help more people.
Translators
Do you speak Tigrinya, Farsi, Arabic, Somali, Oromo, Turkish, Amharic, Urdu, etc., as well as English or German? Choose your workload freely and flexibly. We welcome any person who speaks fluent German or English to serve as translator at AsyLex.
Volunteer groups / NGOs
We collaborate with other volunteer groups and organizations—for example, by offering workshops on the asylum process or courses for accompanying persons. We’re open to new forms of cooperation and happy to discuss ideas.
